Stormbound; bead and wire tree sculpture
A gorgeous statement tree with pale peach coloured beads and twysted together with antique silver coloured copper wire.
There are 60 something branches in total on this tree; less than 70 but more than 60 (I lost count). Each branch has multiple leaf formations on it, giving it a full and mature look. It has been mounted to a dark slate base with the spiralled roots tightly following the shape of the slate. The contrast between light and dark of the tree and base wasn't planned but when both were paired it gave an immediate strong sense of mood and those moments before a storm when the sun is still highlighting trees with a backdrop of grey black skies, just ready for a downpour. At least that was my sense of it but maybe it will have different interpretations by whoever sees it.
Sits at 14cms / 5.5 inches in height (including base)
