This tree is not particularly about a specific kind of love, it's simply about love. It was started a little under a week before Valentines Day and though I didn't expect to be finished in time for that, I didn't think it would take quite as long as it did.
It's been a long time since I've created a heart shaped tree and it took a while to feel out the right colours to use for this one. I have a spectacular sunset to thank for the final decision and it sort of clicked into place.
The colours are roughly mirrored on each side starting with a warm lighter pink at the base, moving into deeper pink and purple, then blue and finally a mix of black and dark blue at the top, with antique copper coloured wire bringing it all together.
There are 6 crystal stars at the top of the tree and a crystal crescent moon hangs at the centre of the heart. This was serendipitous as 6 is the number of love in numerology.
The tree is finished as always with spiralled roots. These are fixed in place with sculpting putty on an olive wood base; this has been painted with two tone metallic paint which shimmers purple or a deep warm copper colour depending on how the light hits. It mostly looks purple but that could be my light sources. You might be able to spot some hidden stars around the roots - these are hematite beads, of which there are 7.

Care instructions: Your tree has some degree of flexibility so you may want to adjust the position of some of the hanging branches. This is fine to do as long as you don't overly stress the wire, otherwise it will weaken and may snap. The wire I use has been enamel coated to prevent tarnishing. Dust can be removed with a paintbrush or similar.
Lastly, please be aware due to the nature of the material, although I make every attempt to minimise this, the roots may have some sharp edges. For ornamental use only.
